The Indiana State Fair Welcomes Its First All-Vegan Vendor

The Indiana State Fair, after 165 years of operation, has welcomed its first all-vegan vendor, Black Leaf Vegan. Co-owned by Derrick and Taria Slack, Black Leaf Vegan offers plant-based comfort foods like burgers, brats, and mac ‘n’ cheese. Their menu includes loaded vegan brats, nachos, and mac ‘n’ cheese, all of which have been well-received by customers.

The Indiana State Fair, known for its fun festivities like live music and Ferris wheel rides, now offers vegan options thanks to Black Leaf Vegan. This marks a significant step in providing plant-based food options at large events and showcases the increasing availability of vegan options in various settings. The fair is running until August 22, with Black Leaf Vegan located on the north side of the fairgrounds, offering a unique dining experience for attendees seeking vegan options.
