Bel Brands USA's The Laughing Cow has introduced two vegan versions of its famous cheese wedges in the US, featuring almond milk bases and flavors like original and garlic and herb. These dairy-free options, priced at $5.49 per eight-wedge pack, are fortified with vitamin B12 and will be available at Whole Foods stores across the country. Bel Brands USA has also launched a dairy-free version of its Boursin cheese, following a trend among cheese brands like Babybel, Cathedral City, and Philadelphia embracing the plant-based market.

The rise of dairy-free cheese reflects a broader shift towards plant-based alternatives driven by consumer awareness of ethical and environmental issues in animal agriculture.
