The company aims to position itself as a leading plant-based sausage dealer in the country.

The company's move into mycelium protein comes as the pork industry in Germany has been declining due to changing consumer dietary habits and the outbreak of African swine fever. As meat analogues gain popularity in Germany, The Raging Pig Company is set to release mycelium-infused meat products in early 2025. The company is currently available in northern Germany retail stores and foodservice partners, with plans to expand in Switzerland and other European markets in the future.
