UK-based vegan brand The Tofoo Co has introduced its newest product, Tofoo Katsu. This new offering consists of two Naked Tofoo filets coated in a katsu-style breadcrumb and will be available in selected Sainsbury’s stores starting on September 25. Tofu katsu is a popular alternative to traditional meat katsu, providing a quicker and more convenient solution for midweek meals for those who may find making katsu from scratch time-consuming.

The Tofoo Co, known for its range of firm tofu products, has recently been acquired by German investment management firm Comitis Capital. This acquisition aims to expand the brand and support its growth. The Tofoo Co also offers seitan and tempeh products, with the katsu launch marking the latest addition to their popular meat alternatives.
