The Tofoo Co Unveils New 4-Ingredient Tempeh Product 

The Tofoo Co is relaunching its popular tempeh product with a new recipe called Naked Tempeh, which uses just four ingredients: organic soybeans, live culture, apple cider vinegar, and water. This tempeh boasts 44 grams of protein per pack and has a "nuttier taste" compared to previous versions. Made in the UK at the company's Yorkshire production site, The Tofoo Co claims to be the first to produce UK-made tempeh for mainstream grocery retail in the country.

Founded in 2015, The Tofoo Co has seen tremendous success, driven by the increasing demand for vegan meat alternatives. Following its acquisition by growth investor firm Comitis Capital in 2024, the company has introduced a range of new products, including Thai Burger, Southern Fried Pieces, Sweet Chilli Cubes, Tofu Dippers, and Veggie Balls. The Naked Tempeh will be available in supermarkets in May, with major stockists like Tesco, Sainsbury's, Waitrose, and Ocado carrying it at an RRP of £2.75 per pack.
