Berief Food will continue to operate as an independent business unit within the Müller Group post-transaction. The acquisition was prompted by Berief's need for capital to support planned international expansion in European markets, particularly in the Benelux region and Eastern Europe.

Berief considered various financing options, including minority investments and strategic partnerships, before deciding on the sale to the Theo Müller Group. The acquired company plans to use the transaction proceeds for expanded export activities, increased investment in innovation, and maintaining operations at its Beckum site. Former owner Marcus Berief expressed confidence in the collaboration with the Theo Müller Group, emphasizing its potential for continued growth, stability, and development for the Beckum location.
