There’s a New Vegan Cheese Shop in Portland

Portland now has a new vegan cheese shop called Cultured Kindness, which recently opened its first brick-and-mortar store. The shop offers a variety of aged vegan cheeses made from organic cashews through extensive fermentation and aging processes. Some popular flavors include Smoky Good-Ah, Garlic Dill Hav-A-Hearti, and Pepper Jill. In addition to vegan cheese wheels, Cultured Kindness also has a deli with cheese-filled sandwiches, such as a mushroom melt and a Mojo Jackfruit Vegano.

Located in the Vegan Mini-Mall on SE Stark Street, the shop is surrounded by other vegan businesses like a clothing store, ice cream shop, and tattoo parlor. Cultured Kindness is open Wednesday through Friday from 12-6pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10am-6pm. Their products can also be found at various grocers in Portland and Seattle.
