This week in vegan news, there have been exciting developments for dairy lovers looking for plant-based options. Oatly has partnered with Swiss International Air Lines to offer canned caffè lattes made with organic oat milk and coffee extract to in-flight passengers. Babybel has also expanded its plant-based cheese lineup with the release of vegan white cheddar cheese wheels, following the success of their plant-based mozzarella wheels last year.

Additionally, Oatly is now offering vegan ice cream bars at over 50 Minor League Baseball stadiums in North America, making it the first plant-based brand to sponsor a sports league in the United States. The vegan movement is also spreading to Chicago with the upcoming Vegandale festival, headlined by Rick Ross, featuring over 120 vendors and a variety of vegan food and beverages. In New York City, a new organic juice bar and vegan cafe called goodsugar has opened, offering a range of plant-based beverages and food options, all in plastic-free packaging. Shake Shack is also jumping on the vegan bandwagon with the launch of Non-Dairy Chocolate Shake and Non-Dairy Chocolate Frozen Custard, made in collaboration with NotCo and available at locations nationwide.
