Time-Travelling Milkman Becomes TTM Ingredients as It Targets New Product Categories

TTM Ingredients, formerly known as Time-Travelling Milkman, has rebranded to reflect its growth and expanded focus on Oleocream, a sunflower-based cream system. The Dutch company, a spin-off of Wageningen University & Research, produces Oleocream through a patented water-based process that preserves sunflower seed oleosomes intact, providing creaminess and mouthfeel without emulsifiers or stabilizers. The ingredient is allergen-free, made from European sunflower seeds, and contains mainly unsaturated fats.

With a recent funding round of €2 million, TTM aims to accelerate commercial adoption of Oleocream, expanding its application from plant-based cream cheese to products such as ice cream, sauces, juices, and smoothies. The company emphasizes its European sunflower supply as a competitive advantage against tropical fats, citing stable pricing and shorter supply chains. Additionally, TTM is developing a sunflower protein powder through its Sunflopro project with VTT Technical Research Centre, further extending its product offerings beyond fats.
