Tiny Orphaned Goat Cherry Fights for Life After Rescue Near Byron Bay, Australia

A tiny orphaned goat named Cherry was rescued near Byron Bay, Australia by The Owl & The PussyCat sanctuary. Cherry was found in a dire state, covered in lice, with diarrhoea, a cough, and a runny nose. The sanctuary began intensive care to save her life, providing antibiotics, medication, and treatment for lice. Despite Cherry's fragile state, she continued to show remarkable progress in her recovery. However, the emotional toll on her surrogate, Mama B, was evident as Cherry saw her as a replacement mama and refused to take a bottle from anyone else. By the 13th of June, Cherry was growing stronger and healthier in quarantine, now able to successfully bottle feed and showing significant improvement from her initial condition.
