Musician and entrepreneur Travis Barker has taken an equity stake in plant-based quick-service restaurant chain Mr. Charlie’s, becoming a brand ambassador as the chain expands its footprint across several states. Barker, known for his advocacy for plant-based eating, has been associated with the brand since its early days and believes in its mission as more than just a food concept, but a movement.

With seven locations and growing, Mr. Charlie’s recently opened its fifth location in Pacific Beach, San Diego, with a flagship Hillcrest site set to open in May. The brand, which also has a presence in Austin, Texas, operates both corporate and franchise locations with plans to continue its expansion. The partnership with Travis Barker came about naturally, as his values align with what Mr. Charlie’s is building, making him a valuable addition to the team.
