Protein Industries Canada has appointed Tyler Groeneveld as its new Chief Executive Officer, with him set to assume the role on October 27. Groeneveld, who was previously Chair of the organization's Board of Directors, brings significant experience and insight to the position. The CEO search committee, led by Annette Revet, Vice-Chair of the Board, selected Groeneveld after an independent search process. He will succeed Robert Hunter, who recently departed from the role after seven months.

Groeneveld, who has over three decades of experience in Canada's agriculture and food sector, is enthusiastic about leading Protein Industries Canada. The organization, which is part of the country's Global Innovation Clusters, recently announced new projects aimed at increasing the use of Canadian-grown ingredients in food production. Groeneveld aims to work with partners to accelerate growth in ingredient manufacturing and food processing, creating a $25 billion opportunity for Canada.
