Recent palatability trials have shown that both cats and dogs prefer microbial protein over traditional options. A 2024 consumer study also revealed positive responses from UK and German dog owners, with a high percentage indicating they would consider purchasing dog treats or complete dog food with microbial protein. This collaboration between THE PACK and MicroHarvest aims to provide a sustainable and enjoyable alternative for pet owners in the UK pet food market.
