UK plant-based egg brand Crackd has successfully secured distribution agreements with several major grocery stores in the US. The product is now available at select Jewel-Osco markets in Chicago, as well as Albertsons, Randalls, and Tom Thumb stores in Texas. These locations are significant as they cover six of the largest metropolitan areas in the country.

Crackd is a lower-calorie and lower-fat alternative to traditional eggs, free of cholesterol and the 14 major allergens. It can be used in various cooking and baking applications and is made with non-GMO ingredients. The product is described as "all-natural" and comes in a 12 oz. pourable pouch equivalent to seven eggs. The US launch of Crackd comes at a time when the conventional egg industry is facing supply chain issues, leading to increased interest in plant-based egg alternatives.
