UNLIMEAT Expands US Retail Presence with Plant-Based Korean BBQ Offerings at Kroger

South Korean plant-based food manufacturer UNLIMEAT is expanding its US retail distribution through a new partnership with Kroger, the country’s largest supermarket chain. Beginning in May, the company’s Korean BBQ Bulgogi and Pulled Pork Original products will be available in over 300 Kroger-affiliated stores, including Ralphs, Fred Meyer, King Soopers, and Smith’s. This expansion aims to capitalize on the growing interest in Korean cuisine in the US, with data showing an increase in Korean restaurant locations and Michelin recognition for Korean restaurants.



UNLIMEAT’s plant-based meat alternatives, sourced from surplus grains and legumes, offer vegan, non-GMO options with Korean flavor profiles. The Korean BBQ Bulgogi and Pulled Pork Original products are designed for convenience and versatility, fitting into various dishes such as stir-fries, lettuce wraps, tacos, sliders, and fusion-style meals. The partnership with Kroger further expands UNLIMEAT’s presence in major US retail chains, introducing Korean-inspired plant-based options to mainstream consumers and aligning with Kroger’s efforts to cater to shifting consumer dietary habits.
