Texan plant-based brand All Y’all has launched a new cheese-flavored high-protein snack called Big Crunchy Cheezy Bits, made from whole organic soybeans. These snacks contain 33g of protein per 76g bag and get their cheesy flavor from nutritional yeast and garlic. They can be enjoyed as a snack or used as toppings for dishes like salads and pasta. Along with the Cheezy Bits, All Y’all offers other plant-based snacks such as Big Crunchy Bacony Bits and various flavors of soybean jerky. A portion of each sale goes to Rowdy Girl Sanctuary, an animal sanctuary in Texas.

Soybeans are a highly nutritious and protein-rich crop, with more than three-quarters of them currently being used as animal feed. However, feeding soybeans directly to humans would be more efficient in terms of land and resources.
