Ahimsa Companies has acquired Vegan brand Wicked Kitchen as part of an industry-wide consolidation effort. The newly formed Ahimsa Companies aims to remove animals from the global food system and increase opportunities for vertical integration and scale through its consolidation efforts. Wicked Kitchen, known for its diverse plant-based products, will now expand to additional retailers and food service providers under the ownership of Ahimsa.

Wicked Kitchen was acquired alongside Good Catch and Current Foods, following an increased interest in sustainable and plant-based options. With the plant-based sector experiencing some plateauing in demand, the consolidation efforts by Ahimsa Companies aim to drive success by increasing production capacity, decreasing prices, and improving flavor and nutrition.
