Vegan Circus, a plant-based food truck, made headlines by winning the title of “Best Classic Grilled Cheese” at the Sacramento Grilled Cheese Festival. As the only vegan vendor at the event, they showcased the flavorful possibilities of plant-based cuisine, surprising judges and attendees with their delicious creations. The event was sponsored by compassionate advocates Only Sunshine Sanctuary and Maginis Roofing, who aimed to highlight the diversity and flavor of cruelty-free cuisine.

Throughout the festival, Vegan Circus and Only Sunshine Sanctuary distributed over 800 grilled cheese samples, sparking conversations and curiosity about plant-based cuisine among festival-goers. Despite being the sole vegan vendor among traditional offerings, Vegan Circus impressed both judges and attendees with their inventive plant-based creation. Founder Drea Mason expressed pride in the win, emphasizing that vegan cheese can be just as, if not more delicious than traditional cheese.
