Vegan ultrarunner Damian Hall, founder of Green Runners, achieved his goal of conquering the 105-mile Lakeland 100 race in under 20 hours. Setting off at a fast pace, Damian held first place throughout most of the race, with his eyes set on joining the exclusive club of sub-20 hour finishers. Despite being briefly caught by another runner, Damian managed to create a lead and crossed the finish line in 19 hours, 33 minutes, and 33 seconds, securing the fifth fastest time in the race's history.

At 49 years old, Damian expressed the significance of this achievement, recognizing that his days of being competitive are limited. The experienced ultrarunner's dedication to the sport and his vegan lifestyle played a key role in his success at the Lakeland 100, showcasing the power of plant-based nutrition in athletic performance.
