Vegan Food Group’s Matthew Glover: ‘We’re Going Big, Because We Have To’

Matthew Glover, the co-founder of Vegan Food Group, discusses the company's transition from VFC Foods to VFG, a holding company that acquired Meatless Farm, Clive’s Purely Plants, and Tofutown to become a leader in the vegan sector. The decision to acquire these companies was driven by the need to proactively navigate the challenging period in the plant-based food sector. Glover aims to position VFG as a leader in the plant-based food industry, with plans to become a "vegan Unilever" and generate €100M in revenue. Additionally, he is working on a vegan checkoff program with Plant Futures to promote plant-based products and support businesses in the sector facing financial struggles. While acknowledging the complexities of consumer preferences and challenges faced by plant-based companies, Glover remains optimistic about the future growth and acceptance of vegan food.
