Vegan Pop-Up MANEATINGPLANT Launches School Bus Food Truck in Southern California

Vegan eatery MANEATINGPLANT, known for its plant-based dumplings, buns, and noodles, has recently launched a school bus food truck in Southern California. Owners Candice Tzeng and Phil Kwan retrofitted an old school bus into a food truck to better serve their loyal fans and attract new customers interested in vegan cuisine. The duo managed to stay afloat in 2020 through community pop-ups and have now secured significant wheels to expand their reach.

MANEATINGPLANT was selected as one of the 10 US restaurants to debut OmniPork, a new plant-based meat alternative, starting on Earth Day 2021. The food truck will feature vegan pork-stuffed bao and XO dumplings to showcase this new option. While the official debut date of the truck is yet to be announced, customers can stay updated on the pop-up schedule and menu rotations by following the company’s Instagram (@maneatingplantla).
