Vegan ‘Seafood’ Brand Secures Big Investment On ‘Shark Tank’

Vegan brand Fysh Foods, specializing in sustainable and vegan seafood alternatives, secured a significant investment on ABC's Shark Tank. The company, founded by Zoya Biglary and Alix Traeger, offers plant-based versions of salmon, tuna, and yellowtail that are rich in iron, fiber, and omega-3 fatty acids. The products are made with clean ingredients and do not contain food coloring, soy, or chemicals, providing a more sustainable and healthier option in the seafood aisle.

Despite the Sharks on the show opting not to invest, Fysh Foods caught the attention of guest Shark Daniel Lubetzky, founder of KIND Snacks, who offered $150,000 for a 30 percent stake in the company. This investment will enable Fysh Foods to expand its operations and continue offering environmentally-friendly alternatives to traditional seafood. The founders hope to address issues like pollution and overfishing in the industry by promoting plant-based options as a sustainable solution.
