Vegan Ultra Runner Damian Hall Wins 2025’s Lakeland 100 Race

Vegan ultra-runner Damian Hall secured victory in this year's Montane Lakeland 100, a renowned ultra-distance race in the UK. Despite it being his first time competing in the challenging event, Hall completed the 105-mile route in 19 hours, 33 minutes, and 33 seconds, finishing ahead of 460 other runners out of a total of 721 participants. At 49 years old, Hall's win showcased his competitive spirit and dedication to the sport of ultra-running.

Hall's achievement adds to his impressive running resume, which includes setting a new fastest-known time for the Pennine Way in 2020. As a vegan athlete, Hall aims to promote sustainability and eco-conscious practices within the running community. Alongside his running career, Hall is a running coach and co-founder of The Green Runners CIC, contributing to the awareness and advocacy for plant-based sport and environmental activism through his work and writings.
