VFC Bails Out Fellow U.K. Vegan Meat Brand Meatless Farm: ‘We Are Delighted’

VFC Foods has acquired the struggling U.K.-based plant-based meat company Meatless Farm in a deal worth £12 million. The acquisition will expand VFC's vegan offerings, with Meatless Farm's product range enriching VFC Foods' existing lineup of plant-based chicken products. The purchase represents a significant step in VFC's expansion plans, with the goal of providing a wider array of vegan options in retail and food service industries to eliminate animals from the food system.

Meatless Farm had recently laid off most of its team after failing to secure additional funding, but VFC's acquisition is seen as a lifeline for the brand.
