WalletHub, Tripadvisor, and Yelp have named the best cities for plant-based food in the United States. WalletHub's study focused on affordability and accessibility, ranking Portland, OR as the top city for vegetarians and vegans, followed by Los Angeles, CA and Orlando, FL. While some cities like San Francisco scored high in quality and diversity, affordability remained a significant factor affecting overall rankings.

In addition to WalletHub, Tripadvisor also shared its top picks for vegetarian-friendly restaurants, with Cusco, Peru and Hilton Head, SC among the highlighted locations. Yelp also recognized Portland as a top destination for vegan tacos, with Chilango PDX offering diverse plant-based options. The rise in popularity of plant-based diets is reflected in the increasing availability of meatless options in restaurants and fast-food chains across the country.
