Welsh Pub Goes Vegan After Veganuary 2022 Success

The Queen Inn, a country pub in Upper Cwmbran, South Wales, has decided to keep its menu 100% vegan after experiencing great success during Veganuary 2022. The pub made the switch to a fully vegan menu for the month of January, which proved to be a hit with customers leading to their busiest period in 17 years.

The owners, Gareth and Jane Edwards, along with their son Ryan, have been gradually expanding the pub's vegan offerings after Jane and Ryan went vegan themselves in Veganuary 2021. The positive response to their meat-free menu during Veganuary 2022 has prompted them to commit to staying vegan moving forward, making them the first country pub in Wales to do so. They have plans to further refine their menu based on customer feedback to ensure a successful transition to a fully vegan menu in the coming months.
