West African-Inspired Vegan Restaurant Ubuntu Launches ‘Soul Food Sundays’ January 14

Chef Shenarri Freeman is introducing Soul Food Sundays at the West African-inspired vegan restaurant Ubuntu in West Hollywood starting on January 14. Guests can enjoy dishes such as Southern Fried Lasagna, Biscuits & Gravy, Fried Oyster Mushrooms & Waffles, and Palm Cake. Expert mixologist Sother Teague has crafted cocktails like the Salted Maple Old Fashioned and Jerk-Spiced Lemon Tea to complement the culinary offerings.

Since opening in August 2023, Ubuntu has been known for its plant-based excellence, drawing inspiration from West African ingredients. Signature dishes like Jackfruit Yassa, Curry Jollof Arancini, Seitan Suya, and Charred Okra Salad showcase vegetables at their finest. Soul Food Sundays at Ubuntu will be a weekly occurrence from 2 to 8pm, inviting guests to indulge in plant-based soul food dishes.
