Where Can You Buy The Vegan KitKat?

In 2021, Nestlé announced the release of a vegan version of its popular KitKat chocolate bar, called the KitKat V. The dairy-free chocolate bar features the same beloved wafer and is made with sustainable cocoa, with an 18% smaller carbon footprint than the original. After a limited release, the KitKat V is now available in a number of countries across the world, including the UK, other European countries, Australia, and New Zealand.

In the UK, the vegan KitKat can be found in supermarkets like Asda and Sainsbury’s, as well as online from retailers like The Vegan Store and Conscious Candy Company. In wider Europe, the KitKat is available in 14 countries and production takes place in Hamburg, Germany. Despite Nestlé's efforts to expand their plant-based options, some consumers choose to boycott the company due to controversies surrounding human rights and environmental issues.
