Zack Polanski Backs Project Slingshot Action Highlighting CO2 Pig Slaughter

Green Party leader Zack Polanski has backed Project Slingshot’s recent public action highlighting CO2 pig stunning and slaughter in the UK. The action involved projecting footage of pigs being slaughtered onto prominent London landmarks. Polanski emphasized the cruel nature of CO2 gas chambers used to slaughter 90% of pigs in the UK and called for urgent reform.

Project Slingshot, co-founded by Naomi Hallum, aims to raise awareness about the suffering of pigs in gas chambers and pressure companies like McDonald’s to stop sourcing pork from suppliers that use this method. The organization has received support from vegan comedian Diane Morgan and aims to end factory farming practices. Despite widespread public disapproval of CO2 stunning, the government has yet to phase out this inhumane practice.
