Banner drop for Rose's law week of action! WHAT: Banner drop WHEN: Friday October 2nd, 3PM-4PM MEETING LOCATION: 801 University Ave, San Diego, CA 92103 We will meet outside of Better Buzz coffee then we will walk to the University Ave bridge over the 163 freeway to drop our Rose's law banner. Join our action in San Diego!! This September 29th marks eight years since the rescue of Rose - a single chicken whose story ignited a global movement demanding fundamental rights for animals. In her honor, and for the trillions of animals still suffering around the world, we are launching a Global Week of Action where activists will take action to elevate the urgency and drive the conversation about these 5 basic rights that we demand for all animals: 1. The right to be free - not owned - or to have a guardian acting in their best interest. 2. The right to not be exploited, abused, or killed by humans. 3. The right to have their interests represented in court and protected by the law. 4. The right to a protected home, habitat, or ecosystem. 5. The right to be rescued from situations of distress and exploitation. Implementing the Animal Bill Of Rights globally is Direct Action Everywhere's ultimate goal.
