VENTURA PET & REPTILE EXPO OUTREACH
November 8, 2026
I_a_adl Join our outreach at the Ventura Pet & Reptile Expo, a cruel event where countless animals are exploited for display and sale to the public! It is a known fact that animal sales increase the burden on already overwhelmed shelters and rescues. What's not well-known to the public is that reptiles and amphibians are sentient beings who also feel pain and a wide range of emotions, just like our common companion animals. At the expo, animals are packed into tiny plastic containers/cages and denied basic needs while being harassed and stared at all day. They're also auctioned off like inanimate objects so breeders can make more profits. It's absolutely heartbreaking and must be stopped! When: SUN 11/8, 1-3pm Meet at: Ventura County Fairgrounds, Anacapa Hall 10 West Harbor Blvd, Ventura, CA 93001 Parking: Free residential parking at 300 Paseo De Playa, Ventura. $10 on site. a Signs and leaflets will be provided Please refrain from bringing dogs as there may not be shade or safe place for them to lie down during the outreach. See you in Ventura! Don't forget to sign IDA's animal sales ban petitions (links in bio) and share them with others! https://www.instagram.com/p/DfY10LCG-9n/?srtk=aGRoYXE0NDkxdXM5
