Cow Filmed Running Through Brooklyn After Escaping Slaughter Taken To Sanctuary

A cow escaped from a slaughter truck in New York and was filmed running around the streets before being caught and taken to a butcher for slaughter. However, after hearing about the incident, the owner of Skylands Animal Sanctuary in New Jersey, Mike Stura, decided to attempt a rescue. Stura is known for rescuing animals and has a history of securing the release of livestock from slaughterhouses without offering payment.

This isn't the first time an escaped animal has been rescued in similar circumstances. In the past, Stura successfully rescued a cow named Freddie in Queens, New York, as well as a pregnant pig named Matilda in Nottinghamshire, England. These rescued animals now live in sanctuaries, providing happy endings for creatures who narrowly escaped a tragic fate.
