I’m a former gang member and current animal rights activist. I went vegan after turning my life around in 2013. I had a burning desire to make a difference and since uploading my first youtube video in 2015 my activism has evolved quite a lot. I’m really passionate about creating awareness about the needless abuses that animals endure and my goal is to help create a vegan world. I hope my website offers you inspiration and motivation to go vegan and to hopefully join me in being a strong voice for the animals. I really do believe that together we can make a huge difference on earth while we are here. Check out my new film https://pignorantfilm.com/

Gaz Oakley is classically trained chef originating from Cardiff, Wales. Gaz developed a passion for cooking at an early age, influenced by his father’s culinary skills. By the age of 15, he was already working in professional kitchens, gaining valuable experience and honing his craft. After many years working in top restaurants & a sabbatical from the industry and a few health issues, he made a big change to adopt a plant based lifestyle. With this new lifestyle, his passion for cooking exploded again. In 2016 Gaz launched a YouTube channel sharing his stories through food. Since then he’s reached over 1.6 million subscribers, made a series in Wales, Mexico & Jamaica & written 3 best selling cookbooks. During the covid lockdowns, Oakley transitioned from living in London to a homestead in the Welsh countryside which has had a profound effect on his whole philosophy & outlook on food & life in general. Motivated by his desire to connect more deeply with the food he prepares and to promote self-sufficiency. In the countryside, Gaz has dedicated himself to growing his own food, embracing the principles of organic farming and permaculture, even adopting some rescued chickens all with the goal of encouraging his audience to become a little more self sufficient & reap the many benefits of growing your own. The hands-on approach to growing food has allowed Gaz to develop even more innovative and seasonal recipes, reflecting the bounty of his garden. He often shares the improvements he notices in his all round physical & mental health thanks to the wonders of being at one with nature. Gaz’s future plans are to open a wellness retreat on land he rewinds, where he can teach visitors how to grow, cook, forage, reconnect with nature & serve up his plant forward meals.
The first time I learned about veganism was shortly after launching my very own cheese business. Talk about bad timing, right? The “problem” was that the business was doing great. I was making money, and for the first time in my life, I was my own boss. But then, everything changed. I quickly discovered the dark side of the dairy industry. It hit me hard; not only were my favorite foods in the world tied to unimaginable animal cruelty, but I was actively promoting and selling them to others. There was no going back. It didn’t take long for me to make a life-changing decision: I closed my business, gave up dairy and all animal products, and committed to sharing the truth with others. Over the past decade, I’ve delivered hundreds of lectures, managed large-scale projects, and, as a content creator, created videos that have reached tens of millions of people. Through these experiences, I’ve learned how to craft impactful vegan messages, communicate our lifestyle more effectively, and inspire others to embrace change. I also discovered that many of the challenges and struggles we vegans face are universal. That’s why I decided to create VeganPRO: to provide the tools and techniques that can help overcome these challenges, become better vegan advocates, and spark a ripple effect where vegans inspire others to go vegan—who then inspire even more. Thank you for being a part of my journey. See you in the course.
